Four of the largest oil companies, BP (NYSE:BP), Royal Dutch Shell (NYSE:RDS.A), Chevron (NYSE:CVX) and Exxon Mobil (NYSE:XOM) saw their stocks make positive gains on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) today, July 7, 2010.
BP plc (NYSE:BP) stock made good upward progress yesterday and kept the trend going again today. BP stock started at 32.60 and saw 33.19, a 4.01% increase.
Royal Dutch Shell plc (NYSE:RDS.A) stock saw a loss on Tuesday, but today was a totally different story. Shell stocks rose throughout the day from a low of 50.39 to a high of 50.73, an increase of 2.40%.
Chevron (NYSE:CVX) stocks also trended upward after performing poorly yesterday. Chevron stock saw a low of 67.51 and climbed to a high of 69.45 for a gain of 2.80%.
Exxon Mobil (NYSE:XOM) stock also saw an increase for the day. Exxon Mobile stock started the day at 57.71 and ended at 58.43, an increase of 1.69%.
