
More Time to Order for Christmas Delivery
Amazon.com (NASDAQ:AMZN) has announced that its deadline for customers to receive guaranteed delivery of purchases by Christmas using Amazon’s Free Super Saver Shipping has been pushed forward to December 17, 2010.
Amazon said that customers using Free Super Saver Shipping now have the opportunity to place orders for millions of qualifying items through Friday, Dec. 17, with guaranteed delivery by Friday, Dec. 24.
Amazon Prime members can also take advantage of extended shipping with guaranteed delivery by Dec. 24. Amazon Prime members are able to place orders until 7 p.m. PST on Dec. 22 using free Two-Day Shipping. Amazon said the cut-off time will vary by item. By upgrading orders to One-Day Shipping, for $3.99 per item, Amazon Prime members can order as late as Thursday, Dec. 23 and still receive their order by Dec. 24.
