
Holiday Travelers Experience Flight Delays
Air travel passengers are encountering difficulties reaching their destinations all along the eastern portion of the United States. JetBlue and US Airways flights have been hard hit by inclement weather and are experiencing flight delays, with some flights being forced to be canceled altogether.
A severe winter storm has hit along the eastern coast of the United States. Airlines are experiencing flight difficulties at airports as far north as Boston and as far south as Atlanta. Airports located in between, including those in Philadelphia, Charlotte and New York are also being affected, with thousand of travelers being forced to book other flights or search for other means of transportation.
Both airlines are waiving fees and increases for passangers being forced to rebook their scheduled flights.
JetBlue is waiving re-booking fees for customers with flights in or out of Boston (BOS), John F. Kennedy (JFK), Newark (EWR), La Guardia (LGA), White Plains (HPN), Stewart/Newburgh (SWF), Washington/Dulles (IAD), Washington/Reagan National (DCA), Charlotte (CLT), Richmond (RIC), Hartford (BDL), Raleigh Durham (RDU) or Baltimore (BWI) from now until Monday, December 27. JetBlue flights can be rescheduled through Friday, December 27.
US Airways has also relaxed their change-fee policies through December 28. US Airways is experiencing flight difficulties in Washington, DC (Reagan), Washington, DC (Dulles), Baltimore, MD, Boston, MA, Newark, NJ, New York, NY (Laguardia), New York, NY (JFK), Philadelphia, PA, and Pittsburgh, PA.
