Amazon Kindle Wi-Fi and 3G Reading Devices
Amazon.com (NASDAQ:AMZN) has announced its hottest lists of products for the year ending in 2010. At the top of all three lists of the best selling, most wished and most popular electronics products was Amazon’s Wi-Fi Kindle ebook reader.
Amazon introduced the Wi-Fi version of the very popular Kindle ebook reading device in the fall of 2010. It was released with an attractive $139 price tag, compared to the $189 cost of the 3G version of the Amazon Kindle. Amazon lowered its Kindle 3G price from $259 to $189 earlier in the year.
Amazon’s third-generation Kindle is now the bestselling product ever in Amazon.com (NASDAQ:AMZN) history. Amazon said that more new Kindles were turned on for the first time on Christmas Day of 2010 than in any other day in the history of the Kindle.
