
Windows Phone 7 App Available for Amazon Kindle
Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN) has released its first ever Kindle application for Windows Phone 7 based devices. The free app includes new features including personalized recommendations on the Kindle app home screen, plus without leaving the app, users can send book recommendations to a friend.
Windows Phone 7 users will now have access to the Kindle Store’s selection of over 775,000 ebooks.
Amazon has made free apps available for the iPad, iPod touch, iPhone, PC, Mac, BlackBerry and Android-based devices for quite some time. With the release of the new app, Amazon customers can now enjoy reading their favorite books from Amazon on their Windows Phone 7 as well.
Amazon.com, Inc. produces the Kindle reading device. Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN) stocks closed at $185.49, a loss of -0.37, a loss of -0.20% on Friday.
Windows Phone 7 is a Microsoft product. Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT) also saw a loss at the end the week, trading at $28.60, -0.22, a loss of -0.76%.
The iPad, iPod touch, iPhone and Mac are products of Apple. Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) stock fared better and saw a gain on Friday, closing at $336.12, +2.39, a gain of 0.72%.
