ConocoPhillips, Marathon Hit New 52-Week High

Marathon Oil Corporation (NYSE:MRO) stock closed up on Wednesday, trading at $49.31 for an increase of $1.24 or 2.58% after opening at $48.07. Marathon shares reached a 52-week high of $49.47 during intraday trading. The lowest trade was $48.31.

Shares rose to $49.59 for a gain of $.28 during pre-market. In early morning trading today, Marathon stock has increased another $.49 to $49.80.

Marathon Oil Corporation (NYSE:MRO) last reported fourth quarter 2010 net earnings of $706 million, or $0.99 per diluted share compared with $355 million, or $0.50 per diluted share in the same 2009 period.

After opening at $73.50 on Wednesday, ConocoPhillips (NYSE:COP) shares closed at $74.95 for a gain of $1.45 or 1.97% after reaching a 52-week high of $ 75.03 in the day’s trading.

ConocoPhillips stock declined $.36 to $74.59 for a loss of .48% in pre-market trading this morning. Shares of ConocoPhillips have since regained the pre-market loss, climbing to $74.89 for a .81% gain of $.60 in early trading.

ConocoPhillips (NYSE:COP) announced a quarterly dividend of 66 cents per share, an increase of 20% last week.
