"This is democracy, and people have their right to freedom of expression, and this applies to films as well", the bench said.

The Madras High Court today rejected a local advocate's petition for the film to be banned because it "shows India in a poor light". According to the petitioner, the film contains scenes and dialogues against the interest of the sovereignty and integrity of India.

"It's just a movie". The petitioner then argued that the dialogues had nothing to do with the movie's focus.
