An element of the Terzo Millennio that may not take a generation to develop could be the car's "Piloted Driving" systems. Together MIT and Lamborghini have developed supercapacitors for power. Lamborghini and MIT even said they are also looking into using the car's carbon fiber body as an energy storage medium.
Each of the Terzo Millennio's wheels will incorporate an integrated electric engine, which the company says will give it four-wheel torque control and high reversibility.
Lamborghini sees the Terzo Millenio concept as '"a box" to pack their new technology, which would help them compete in the up-and-coming world of hybrid electric supercars.
One year after inking a partnership deal, Lamborghini and the MIT-Italy Program celebrate the first steps in an ongoing project "that intends to write an important page in the future of super sports cars", Lambo CEO Stefano Domenicali said in a statement.

With electric motors housed in each of the four wheels, designers were freed up to work with far more of a blank canvas than would be possible with a conventional powertrain.
Lamborghini is the process of tinkering with some wild technology too. As Lamborghini points out, this tech allows for confidently using carbonfibre for "high-fatigue" parts, meaning weight savings in regions usually reserved for heavier, more durable materials. The "self-healing" is done by detecting cracks and damages in the carbon structure, which once detected is repaired by "heal chemistries" in the body.
In other word's, the car's own body is the battery, which in theory sounds somewhat unsafe.
