How to View and Reshare Your Archived Instagram Stories

Instagram launches biggest change to profiles in years, adding new stories and archive features

Introducing Stories Highlights and Stories Archive – Instagram

Now, after a story disappears 24 hours after it's published, it will automatically be placed in a permanent home within the user's main profile page.

Instagram has today announced the launch of two new features that let users hold on to their favorite moments from Instagram Stories and share them in ways that helps them better themselves better. Stories Highlights is a new addition to your Instagram profile. Then select clips from your archived stories, choose a thumbnail for your story, and give it a name (for example, "puppers" from the previous example).

With the new feature, all of your Instagram Stories going forward will be automatically (privately) archived.

I think it's fair to say Instagram is the most loved social media app, especially in comparison to Snapchat.

You can access the stories in your archive by tapping the Archive icon on your profile.

Trump tries to block Mitt Romney from becoming Utah senator
During the 2016 presidential primary race, he labeled Trump a fraud and a phony in a University of Utah speech. When Trump was asked if he wants Hatch to run for an eighth term in 2018, he replied, "Yes".

Willie Taggart To Coach Florida State, Leaves Oregon After One Season
Yet for certain, athletic director Stan Wilcox did his due diligence to hire the best-possible candidate for the job. Taggart spent just one season at OR following his tenure locally at the University of South Florida.

Obama: Need to Elect Women Because Men Have Problems
Back in the U.S., President Trump gave a speech in the Rose Garden after deciding to withdraw the United States from the Paris climate accord.

Another copy-and-paste of Snapchat, "Archives" is Instagram's version of Memories. From there, you can easily switch between your Posts Archive and your new Stories Archive.

The company, although not completely abandoning the ephemeral content idea, is now adopting a Stories Archive - a section of the Instagram app that files away previous stories for your reminiscing. You can add up to 100 photos or videos to a single highlight and there's no limit to how many highlights you can post.

To check out your expired stories, tap the archive icon in the top-right corner of your profile. The most recent stories will be at the bottom of the new grid layout, and the first Story from each day will show a date indicator to help users navigate. Though we did have the option to pick and choose which stories to download (and still do), this will make it easier and not something that you have to moderate yourself. As Instagram puts it on their blog, "To create a highlight, tap the "New" circle at the far left". Just go to your profile settings and toggle off Auto-archiving.

Highlights can be edited or removed at any time; to do this, tap and hold the highlight you with to edit. Instagram Stories Highlights and Stories Archives will be rolling out to iOS and Android users on Tuesday.

The private archive feature will be available to all users starting from today.
