England's Ashes tour has taken a further slide towards ignominy with news that Ben Duckett is facing a disciplinary investigation after an alcohol-related incident in Perth.

That measure was taken in response to reports of Jonny Bairstow's "headbutt" greeting for Cameron Bancroft - a playful prank from the Yorkshireman, also in a Perth bar on the first night of England's tour back in October.

This clip was first broadcast on 5 live Sport, Saturday 9 December 2017. In between the two controversies, England have lost two Tests to put themselves under serious presure to regain the Ashes.

"To be quite honest I think it was fairly trivial but in the current climate it's just not acceptable", Bayliss told reporters on Saturday.

With play already underway between the two nations, it was revealed by the England camp that he has been dropped from the side.

"I'm not sure exactly what more I can say, so I'm sure there will be some stern words from above".

"Everyone has been warned that even small things can be blown out of all proportion".

Teaser released for animated movie 'Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse'
Just for the record, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is in no way connected to the Marvel Cinematic Universe . Into the Spider-Verse is set to launch next year and will be receiving a theatrical release.

"I'm here to coach the team and I end up spending most of my time in front of cameras trying to explain some behaviour that the boys have been warned about". Not only could the investigation - which is being led by Andy Flower, the Lions coach, and Trevor Bayliss, the England coach - see other players dragged into the spotlight, but it will do nothing to convince the management that the recently imposed curfew is anything other than necessary.

"I'm sure they'll be able to get on with it (and focus on the third Test that starts on Thursday)".

Strauss - the England and Wales Cricket board director - put the curfew in place after the freaky altercation between Jonny Bairstow and Cameron Bancroft, also in a Perth bar.

Reports said that no members of the public were involved in the Duckett incident and police were not involved.

The 26-year-old was provisionally names in England's One-Day International side that will face Australia in the new year, but both he and Alex Hales could yet face disciplinary action from the European Central Bank as the governing body elected not to take any action beyond suspending Stokes until the police investigation is closed.

Star all-rounder Ben Stokes is already suspended from the tour after he became involved in an incident outside a Bristol nightclub in September that led to police investigations, although he is now playing domestic cricket in New Zealand.
