Timberlake last released full albums in 2013, putting out "The 20/20 Experience" and "The 20/20 Experience - 2 of 2" in quick succession.

Ahead of his scheduled appearance at the Super Bowl 2018 halftime show, the singer announced that his fifth studio album, titled "Man of the Woods", will drop February 2, with the first single available on Friday.

In September 2016 in an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Timberlake mentioned that he was back in the studio.

"I really did grow up in a place in America where I was like two hours from the country music capital of the world (Nashville), home of the blues, birthplace of American rock "n" roll", he said.

The album drops on February 2nd just ahead of Timberlake's Super Bowl halftime performance on Sunday, February 4th.
