Acer Chromebook 11 packs USB-C and 10 hour battery

Acer is doing a head start at the CES 2018 by announcing a new Chromebook.

While you can't bend the screens all the way back, the 11 and 14-incher are "adjustable" at up to 180 degrees, supporting easy "collaboration" for group projects and presentations. Connectivity is another big aspect here, as you'll enjoy two USB 3.0 ports, and for the first time, two USB 3.1 Type-C ports. The CB311-8HT will have an 11.6-inch display running at 1366 x 768 resolution that supports touch input. The laptop is powered by Intel's Celeron processor. Inside, Acer has equipped the Chromebook 11 with an Intel Celeron processor, 2GB/4GB of RAM, 16GB/32GB of storage, and a battery that should provide 10 hours of power. On the display front, Acer has released both standard and non-touch display options with the capability to run Android apps available on Google Play Store.

Chromebooks are as popular as ever before, and Acer's latest entry continues its trend of budget-friendly options.

The new Chromebook will have dual USB 3.1 USB-C as well as dual USB 3.0 ports. It will be available either in 2GB or 4GB RAM and 16GB or 32GB of storage.
