The Bharatiya Janata Party-led National Democratic Alliance, now one of the most formidable coalitions in the country, appears to be on shaky ground with members like the Telugu Desam Party threatening to walk out of the alliance.
Rajnath Singh called Naidu in the midst of the TDP's Parliamentary party meeting and reportedly asked Naidu to "wait" as the Union Government was looking into the concerns raised by him about Andhra Pradesh.
At a time when every Telugu Desam Party MP and minister is bringing pressure on party president and chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu to break the alliance with Bharatiya Janata Party, finance minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu seems to be opposed to the idea. Several party leaders said that they are not happy with the centre budget session 2018.
"It was all media speculation", Chowdary said when asked if the TDP was ready for a divorce with the NDA. "We will also raise the matter in Parliament, if needed", Andhra Minister YS Chowdary said after the meeting. After this phone call, TDP changed the strategy on how to deal with BJP party and central government.
Chowdhary had said that Chandrababu Naidu was upset over Andhra Pradesh being ignored in the budget. "If required we will protest inside Parliament".
Senate Democrats warn Trump against firing special investigator
Rosenstein oversees the probe, and critics fear firing him would clear the path for President Trump to target Mueller next. Reporters also asked if he retained confidence in Rosenstein; Trump was responding to both questions with his terse reply.
LAPD: Shooting by 12-year-old girl at school 'not intentional'
The 12-year-old girl was booked on suspicion of negligent discharge of a firearm after the shooting at Sal Castro Middle School . While "negligent" use can cover a variety of activities, it most likely refers to "mishandling" in this case, Ramirez said.
Stocks plunge amid spiking Treasury yields, disappointing earnings
The Dow ended down 666 points, or about 2.5%, Friday as Treasury yields gathered steam following an upbeat jobs report. A higher wage-related index in the jobs data released on Friday raised speculation that inflation will accelerate.
The TDP's wish list includes a special package, filling up of revenue deficit, a separate railway zone for Visakhapatnam and allocations for Amaravati and Polavaram.
"People (of Andhra Pradesh) are looking forward with anticipation". They (the Centre) have done some of the things that had been promised, but much more needs to be done. "We will discuss these things in the next two-three days and try to work out a solution", Chowdary added on Sunday.
If the TDP withdraws lock, stock and barrel, the BJP would be left with a huge void in Andhra Pradesh and Telengana and would have to look for another ally even as it is still reeling under the after-shock of its long-time ally Shiv Sena's exit from NDA.
Chandrababu Naidu openly conveyed his displeasure in a cabinet meeting held the next day after the union budget at Amaravati.
