Expect a host of safety features on the new Santa Fe.

The new Hyundai Santa Fe is officially revealed in the first photos of the 2018 Santa Fe from Hyundai, showing an SUV with a bold new look and new technology. The big SUV gets an all-new look as well as a range of infotainment and safety technologies.

The new face - clearly inspired by the Kona - offers slim driving lights at the top and twin headlights beneath, a new cascading grille, statement wheelarches and a strong shoulder line. The wheelbase is also said to extend some, meaning the rear passengers will get more legroom. All-wheel drive is also available. At that length, it straddles the line between the current US -market Santa Fe three-row (193.1 inches) and the two-row Santa Fe Sport (185.0 inches). This enables the system to recognise more natural speech patterns, such as when asking for route guidance to a specific location. It also features Safety Exit Assist which "prevents accidents when vehicles approach from behind by temporarily locking the doors, so that passengers will exit the auto safely".
