In the war against bezels, the APEX manages to minimize top and side screen borders to an "unprecedented" 1.8mm, now retaining a 4.3mm chin which it also wants to eventually shrink to 1.8mm for an overall screen-to-body ratio of more than 98 percent. The camera takes just 0.8 seconds to rise out of the Apex's body and goes back inside when not in use. Although Vivo has incorporated all these technologies into a concept phone, the company hasn't made any announcement on whether the phone will be commercially produced.

However, Vivo unveiled the X20 Plus model at CES 2018 in January which incorporated the world's first in-display fingerprint sensor. The Apex takes this one step further by extending the readable area to cover roughly a third of the display; allowing users more freedom in using biometric authentication.

Screen SoundCasting Technology turns the entire APEX display into a speaker, sending vibrations through the screen, and ditching the normal, and usually sub-par, phone speakers. Othe specs and featured technologies include Screen SoundCasting Technology, an 8MP elevating front camera, sound leakage reduction, low to high pitch sound optimization, and power reduction. The Vivo APEX FullView is the first production smartphone to achieve this ratio.

What it means is you can opt to use two fingerprints instead of one to unlock the phone, make a payment of unlock certain apps, folders or features. We can spot a slight chin on the phone along with an earpiece on top.
