ZTE dials up mid-range Blade V9 and Blade V9 Vita

ZTE brings premium features to its mid-range Blade line

ZTE Unveils New Mid-Range Blade V9 Series at MWC 2018

The Blade V9 VITA has a 5.45-inch bezel-less display with HD+ resolution, instead of the 5.75-inch FHD+ unit in the Blade V9. We're not sure how the USA market will receive the phone but ZTE Mobile Devices' VP of Product Strategy and Marketing Jeff Yee believes it "will provide consumers with an optimized, powerful Android experience created to allow them to do more on an entry-level smartphone than ever thought before".

There's a good chance that this Android phone is the cheapest way to upgrade to an 18:9 screen with very little bezel, and it'll be even less expensive than the bigger ZTE Blade V9 - that phone is priced at €269 in Europe, which works out at about £235, $330, AU$420.

In terms of optics, the phone offers a dual rear camera setup that comprises of a 16MP primary sensor and a 5MP secondary sensor.

It's not almost as stylish as the larger ZTE Blade V9, but it does have a nice size to it, fair performance, and what should be excellent battery life based on the specs. The smartphone is backed by a 3,100mAh battery.

ZTE Blade V9 is powered by a Snapdragon 450 processor coupled with Adreno 506 GPU. The device is measuring 146.8 x 68.7 x 7.6mm which is relatively low compare to the original Blade V9. Under the hood, the smartphone makes use of a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 chipset that is clocked at 1.8GHz. While the V9 sports a 16 MP main camera with a 5 MP secondary, the V9 Vita steps things down slightly with a 13 MP main and 2 MP secondary.

The Argentine worldwide set up Luis Suarez for the equaliser before beating three defenders inside the box to give Barca the lead. He's also set to miss league fixtures against Atletico Madrid, Las Palmas and Malaga, along with Espanyol in the Copa Del Rey.

Other connectivity options such as VoLTE support, Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi b/g/n and Global Positioning System are also available on the device. That's the cutoff price point for the Blade line, with the more premium Axon tier running $400 and up. The first two handsets, are the company's budget offerings, which run ZTE's skin on top of Android, while the ZTE Tempo Go handset is actually a part of Google's Android Go project.

Apart from this, the company has also introduced one more smartphone called, ZTE Tempo Go. The devices would be shipped with different set of features in different countries.

ZTE is not new to entry-level smartphones. It comes with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of Internal Storage Memory with an expansion option.

The V9, the more powerful of the two, includes a glass design and 5.7-inch Full HD 18:9 display. There's dual rear-facing cameras, with one 16-megapixel lens, improved shooting in lowlight and built-in face detection. The unlocked ZTE Tempo Go smartphone is priced at $80 in the United States.
