Officials recovered a body floating near a Northern California cliff where a family's SUV plunged 100 feet into the ocean, setting off a search for three missing children.
A couple vacationing reportedly saw the body and pulled it from the surf before calling authorities. Three other children, Devonte, 15, Hannah, 16, and Sierra, 12, were not found and are feared to be dead.
Investigators could not immediately determine the age or identity of the body but said they are investigating whether it's one of the children still missing after the crash.
Authorities believe the mysterious crash may have been intentional.
Authorities work the scene of the March 26 fatal crash on the Mendocino coast near Mendocino, Calif., where the SUV carrying the Hart family off a cliff, killing all passengers.
Investigators have also said the SUV's software indicates the vehicle stopped at the highway pullout before it accelerated straight off the cliff, according to The Associated Press.
A search warrant was conducted at the family's home in Woodland on Thursday, March 29.
Sarah Hart pleaded guilty to charges of domestic assault in 2011, after police in Minnesota said she hit one of her daughters.

The five bodies were found a few days after Washington state authorities began investigating the Harts for possible child neglect.
Devonte, a black boy who is still missing, drew national attention after he was photographed in tears while hugging a white police officer during a 2014 protest.
A comprehensive inspection of the SUV is now underway, CHP said.
"Information obtained through interviews with family and friends indicated it was rare for the family to be apart, especially while traveling", a news release from the sheriff's office says.
There were no signs of the other two children, authorities said Saturday. During a Sunday night teleconference with media, CHP said there was no note left behind and no obvious indicator in the Hart's home to explain what happened.
