The FDA in a release Friday said 22 illnesses have linked to the eggs distributed from Rose Acre Farms' facility in North Carolina.

Over 200 million eggs have been recalled in the USA for fears of a possible outbreak of salmonella. The elderly and those with weakened immune systems should also be wary, the FDA reports. They came from Rose Acre Farms, which is the second-biggest egg producer in the United States and based in Indiana.

The notice says the recalled eggs include varieties sold in Food Lion and Walmart stores, and served at Waffle House restaurants.

The affected farm has paused its egg distribution and the company has voluntarily recalled more than 206 million eggs.

Dogs Possibly Died In East Hampton Fire, Official Says
Eight to ten homes and cabins were in the path of the blaze, but firefighters were successfully able to protect those from damage. The fire caused an estimated $150,000 to the structure and destroyed about $100,000 worth of contents, Munoz said.

The eggs were distributed to Virginia, North Carolina, Colorado, New Jersey, Florida, New York, Pennsylvania, South Carolina and West Virginia through retail stores and restaurants. The agency inspected the farm, which produces 2.3 million eggs a day from 3 million laying hens. Healthy individuals can experience fever, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain.

The affected eggs are from plant number P-1065 and have the Julian date range of 011 through date of 102 printed on the package.

The FDA is telling anyone who purchased these eggs should throw them away or return them to the retailer where they were purchased for a refund.

"The Hyde County farm has never before experienced a recall or serious safety violation", Rose Acre Farms said in an email.
