Authorities say an 8-year-old student took a kitchen knife to a central Minnesota elementary school and attacked three other children.
Three students were wounded.
The child was taken into custody but released later that day.
The alleged attacker was released to his parents after police interviewed him.

Apple To Launch A Subscription-Based News Service Within Next Year
Last month, Apple announced that it was acquiring Texture, the digital magazine subscription service by Next Issue Media LLC. Previously Apple only sold music on an individual track basis through iTunes for about 99 cents per track.

He said the student pulled the knife from his backpack in the hallway before school started, and added that staff and students traumatized by the incident will be able to speak with mental health workers if needed. He said he didn't know if the boy had been bullied, or if he had mental health issues. Without any warning, the Minnesota elementary school student began slashing his classmates. In December 2012, Adam Lanza, 20, shot his mother to death at their Newtown, Connecticut, home before killing 20 first-graders and six educators at Sandy Hook Elementary School.
