Bucks Hammer Celtics For Playoff Win

Celtics fans may see a little Pierce in Middleton's game

NBA playoffs 2018: Bucks forward Jabari Parker upset with playing time

Playing at home for the first time in the series, the Bucks outscored the C's 27-12 in the first quarter and for the most part this game was over. The win closes the gap in the series to 2-1 in favor of Boston.

"We came out (and) just wanted to be the first team that hit first (and) be physical", Middleton told ESPN after the game as confetti fell from the rafters.

Now the series is 2-1 and the Bucks will try to make it 2-2 Sunday afternoon. "We're feeding off of the energy of the crowd". The Celtics hit 23 3-pointers in their two wins, and it was a huge difference in those games.

Too many turnovers (18) cost the C's. The problem for the Celtics is that since Al Horford is on Giannis, Aron Baynes has to stick with Maker. Thon Maker had 14 points and 5 blocks off the bench. Terry Rozier was held to just nine points and nine assists after scoring 23 points in each of the first two games, while Marcus Morris scored just seven points after scoring a combined 39 points in the first two games.

The game was so well in hand that the Bucks closed out the victory with Antetokounmpo on the bench for much of the fourth quarter with five fouls. They continued to press on defense despite racking up the fouls and took a 15 point lead heading into the second. The Celtics won the first two games of the series, and they've never lost in the playoffs after doing so on 35 prior occasions.

New Orleans is a 7-point favorite on the opening line, while the Over/Under (O/U) for the game opened at 216 points. Portland's only chance to hang in this series is to slow the tempo as they can't run and gun with the Pelicans .

By the time halftime rolled around, most Green Teamers were probably asking if it was okay to forget about this game already. The Bucks shot a blistering 57 percent from the field in Game 3 and knocked down 16 of 33 three point attempts. A lot was made of Rozier outplaying Bucks point guard Eric Bledsoe over the first two games, but the veteran got the better of his Celtics counterpart in Game 3 with 17 points on 8-for-13 shooting.

Rozier finished the night with five turnovers, while sniffing a double-double with nine points and nine boards. The Celtics have decisive edges in offensive rebounding (20-12) and second-chance points (42-13) going into Game 3. He got extended run with John Henson out of the mix with a sore back and took advantage.

Perhaps the presence of new minority owner Aaron Rodgers brought the Bucks some luck, but whatever the case, they played with the necessary desperation while trying to dig out of a hole. Until Boston shows they can slow Milwaukee's offense, you have to ride with the hosts here.
