CNN's Dana Bash Defends Asking 'Completely Legitimate Question' to Kellyanne Conway

"I would ask you that if you were a man", Bash replied, to which Kellyanne Conway simply said, "No you would not".

Sunday on CNN's "State of the Union", White House counselor Kellyanne Conway got into a heated back and forth when guest host Dana Bash asked about Conway's husband's tweets.

"It's fascinating to me that CNN would go there", Conway said.

Quickly after Conway's interview on CNN aired, her other half retweeted a message from Maggie Haberman, the New York Times' primary White House reporter, who has actually been a current topic of the President's ire online. "I'm really surprised, but very, in some ways, relieved and gratified to see that".

Conway hit back at everything in sight. That's an allusion to John King, from whom Bash is divorced.

But the real icing on the hypocrisy cake came when Conway suggested that Bash would not have asked her the question about her husband's tweets if she were a man, to which Bash responded that gender had nothing to do with her question.
