Several moments in the parade of headlines about Trump, such as his reposting of messages from the far-right, anti-Muslim group Britain First, prompted criticism from Prime Minister Theresa May and more vocal calls from politicians including London Mayor Sadiq Khan for Trump's visit to be canceled.

The Guardian, however, reports the two are scheduled to see each other.

As of now, it's not 100 percent certain that Trump will meet with the queen.

Along with the Together Against Trump protest, the Top Trump Targets campaign, which brings together 14 organisations that support women, BAME people, LGBTQ+ individuals, and refugee communities, have also reiterated their pledge to raise money for the minority groups whom Trump has stood against.

This was after May had originally invited Trump for a full "state visit". A petition to boycott Trump from making an official state visit garnered 1.5 million-plus signatures.

US President Donald Trump will pay his first official visit to the United Kingdom on Friday, July 13.

Mr Trump would have been treated to lavish ceremonies and a stay with the head of state at Buckingham Palace. "He will also no doubt see that Londoners hold their liberal values of freedom of speech very dear".

The announcement comes during a busy day for Trump, in which he praised rapper Kanye West, said he'd take no action against FBI investigator Robert Mueller, and confirmed that Michael Cohen was in fact his lawyer, despite previously claiming not to be that close to him.

The president's schedule has not been set and will depend on "world events", Johnson said, confirming that Trump would "definitely" be in London, despite speculation meetings would take place elsewhere to avoid demonstrations.

His Great British holiday is likely to be met with mass protests by members of the public - not least because he has already put his foot in his mouth. Time will only tell.
