Tom Brokaw, the former news anchor who was accused of allegedly making unwanted sexual advances against multiple women in the 1990s, has reportedly dropped out as the commencement speaker for Sacred Heart University.

On Friday, Brokaw sent a letter to NBC colleagues denying the allegations raised by Linda Vester, calling them "a drive-by shooting" and saying that Vester had a reputation for having "trouble with the truth".

Vester detailed to the Washington Post and Variety allegations that Brokaw sexually harassed her and attempted to forcibly kiss her at least two times in the 1990s.

Vester said she was in her 20s at the time, while Brokaw was 30 years older and one of the most powerful men in her business.

Vester spoke with both the Washington Post and Variety about her allegations.
