Rapper TI says guard was asleep on the job, sparking argument that got him arrested

Police in Georgia arrested rapper T.I. after the Grammy Award-winning musician attempted to enter the gated community where he lives.

He was eventually released without bail.

Police tell Atlanta ABC affiliate WSB-TV that T.I., born Clifford Harris Jr. T.I. apparently did not have his key with him and called out the guard for being sleep on the job.

Unfortunately, the Trap Muzik rapper is no stranger to arrests. T.I. believed that the guard should have recognized him since he did own property in the community. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ At some point in time, the rapper called a friend for assistance, but both ended up in custody after guard felt threatened.

In fact, T.I. says the guard even refused to provide his name, so he is planning to sue for the incident. "In regard to the assault charge, the rapper clarified that while there was a "very heated debate" between the two, things did not turn physical, adding, "[He] may have been hurt by my words". "When the police arrived, they were not interested in hearing Tip's side of the story and wrongfully chose to end the situation by arresting Tip".
