The Brazil global has joined Man United on a five-year deal from Ukrainian champions Shakhtar Donetsk and is the first Old Trafford incoming of the summer.

Media speculation suggests United will pay Shaktar about £52 million for the 25-year-old, who is in Brazil's squad for the World Cup in Russian Federation.

United have now announced that a big-money transfer is imminent, with the finishing touches being put to their first signing of the summer.
