Roma reportedly want close to £80m for Alisson

Reports suggests Fekir is now valued at around £60m by Lyon.

However, L'Equipe have offered Liverpool fans a boost before the worldwide tournament that kicks off next week, with the French outlet claiming that a deal is very close to being complete.

Fekir should complete his medical on Friday, which will see Liverpool tie the deal up before the World Cup starts next week. Klopp is keen to have the bulk of the club's key transfer business done by the time his squad reconvene for pre-season training at Melwood in early July.

In an interview given to RMC shortly after signing for Liverpool, Fabinho praised Fekir, saying it would be "good" if he joined him on Merseyside.

The 24-year-old attacking midfielder has been identified by Jurgen Klopp as Philippe Coutinho's natural replacement.

Aulas' comments had cast doubt over the deal, with the notoriously hard 69-year-old telling Lyon's official website: "The record is at a standstill, there is no way forward".

"The [transfer] will certainly not close during the World Cup and I do not think there is any change before the World Cup".

"We haven't set a starting price because we haven't discussed that yet".

Aulas believes a pre-World Cup agreement may be the most profitable arrangement for Lyon after Didier Deschamps preferred Corentin Tolisso, Paul Pogba and N'Golo Kanté in midfield for France's most recent warm up match.
