Beilein was linked to the Detroit Pistons' head coaching job in the last week, but he declared his intentions to come back to MI on Wednesday in a tweet. He had a meeting and an interview with Pistons officials last week as Detroit searches for their new head coach.

There is a strong chance that John Beilein, head coach of the MI basketball program, could be on his way to the NBA.

Casey met with team owner Tom Gores on Tuesday and an announcement seems imminent.

Beilein has been with the Wolverines for 11 seasons and is the winningest coach in program history. And according to outlets, Beilein interviewed with the team earlier this week.

Pruitt Contacted 'Franchise of Faith' Chick-fil-A for Wife Buy
In a statement announcing Greenwalt's resignation, Pruitt called her a "tremendous leader" within the agency. CNN has reached out to the EPA for comment and has not yet received a response.

The new deal also comes with a rolling extension that keeps Beilein's contract at five years.

Michigan's athletic director Warde Manuel voiced the same feelings. He's said repeatedly his intention is to ensure Beilein one day retires at MI.

If Detroit passes on all of those options, perhaps they should consider a couple of familiar faces: former Pistons Isiah Thomas and Bill Laimbeer. He has guided the Wolverines to two Big Ten titles, eight NCAA tournament appearances and two national runner-up finishes. His team also reached the championship game in 2013.
