Warriors GM says team will give Kevin Durant whatever deal he wants

The Golden State Warriors star forward is right in the middle of his prime.

Bob Myers confirmed that the Golden State Warriors will work with Kevin Durant on any type of contract he seeks in free agency.

The Warriors claimed their third National Basketball Association championship in four seasons, their second consecutively, after sweeping LeBron James' Cleveland Cavaliers in the Finals last week, entering the conversation to be considered one of the most dominant teams in the history of the league.

Durant, who turns 30 in September, could ink a four-year deal in July.

For the third time in the last four years, the city of Oakland will host an NBA Championship parade on behalf of the Golden State Warriors.

Slate's Craig Fehrman put it simply: "The NBA has been bad for two years, and it's Kevin Durant's fault". With mic in hand, he casually roasted Durant, saying his free agency situation is different from that of Steph Curry a year ago.

"Yeah, mid-level", Myers said. "Before his Warriors exit I want to enjoy as much time with him as possible".

"Sure, guys have proven they can win so you want to keep that group together", Myers said.

"I feel like it's easy to be the best player when you don't have good players around you".

Myers also downplayed any tension or turmoil that took place privately.
