If that number keeps climbing, which suggests that it will, this could be one of the biggest (if not the biggest) bans in Reddit history.

As of this writing, the subreddit is now at 391,000 subscribers, which would mean 195,500 Reddit users will be instantly banned with the click of a button. And now that the Russo Brothers have officially subscribed, members are asking that only one director survive the purge - you know, in the name of flawless balance.

This isn't the first Thanos-related internet concoction to make its way online after the release of "Infinity War", however. The subreddit became so popular that it caught the eye of Infinity War directors Joe and Anthony Russo as well as Thanos himself, Josh Brolin.

Some Infinity War fans who support Thanos' decision in bringing a balance to the universe started a subreddit, /r/thanosdidnothingwrong, dedicated to him. Jim Starlin, the dude who created Thanos, spoke to Collider during Comic-Con in Las Vegas and revealed about the possibility of an extra 30 minutes of footage that will be packed for the home video version of the film.

At the time of this writing, the Thanos Did Nothing Wrong subreddit has more than 660 thousand subscribers. And The-Jedi-Apprentice warned users that it would take a lot of work from the Reddit side, as nobody had ever asked for a tool to ban so many people all at once, and at random. The Russo brothers themselves tweeted, too, that they "have both submitted to the culling".

"If the snap doesn't happen in 15min the I am legally allowed to report r/thanosdidnothingwrong for messing with my emotions for 24hrs", said one user earlier on the big day. The fate of these banned members is unknown.

Luckily, the ban finally happened, and all was right in the universe.
