Houston Rockets General Manager Daryl Morey announced today that the team has re-signed free agent guard/forward Gerald Green.

Anthony and the Thunder are working towards a buyout though he could also be traded and waived thereafter.

Wojnarowski also reported that Rockets small forward Luc Mbah A Moute has agreed to a one-year deal with the Clippers. "Oklahoma City needs Anthony's permission to waive his no-trade clause, which he has done to facilitate his exit, league sources said".

The Rockets are gearing up for a pursuit of Carmelo Anthony by letting one of their best defensive players go.

If he chooses to sign with Houston, the Rockets can offer him their mid-level exception, which amounts to $5.3 million.

If Anthony does become a free agent, the Rockets won't be the only team interested in his services.

Is this old Harry Kane photo a sign that it's coming home?
Kane is mindful of the influence he now wields as one of the game's top stars, but the status is one he appears to embrace. Speaking to the Liverpool Echo , Thompson said: "I've been a big fan of Harry Maguire since his days at Hull City ".

The 34-year-old is coming off his worst season in the National Basketball Association, as he posted career lows in scoring average and field goal percentage last season.

He failed to earn an All-Star nod for the first time since 2008-09, though his 169 3-pointers made set a new career high.

Green, a native of Houston, signed a 10-day contract with the Rockets on December 28 and ended up staying for the season.

But Anthony has averaged 24.1 points and shot 44.9 percent in 15 National Basketball Association seasons and has been one of the NBA's premier scorers of the past 20 years.

If Anthony were to end up in Miami, it would add a scoring punch to a team that finished sixth in the Eastern Conference a year ago.

Anthony expressed to the Thunder at the end of the team's playoff run he would not accept a bench role.
